Prizegiving Winners

Saturday the 31st October saw the winners of 2009 presented with their prizes. The evening was well attended, ending with an energetic dance with a lively band. The joint Strictly winners that evening were Craig Scobie and Mark Smith, who did their best to sweep all of the ladies off their feet!!
2009 Club Champions

On a balmy day in July the finalists in the club championships stepped up to the mark, and battled for the prestigious honour, with Taylor Edwards, Jim Graham and Mary Aitchison winning on the day over runners up, Leslie Irvine, David Dickson, and Fiona Irvine. This is not new news, but some photos have just been unearthed, and are worthy of sharing!!
Course improvement phase 2

Work has started this week(28th September) on the remaining greens requiring the “drill and fill” treatment. Following the very successful works that were carried out last winter, the programme has been scheduled earlier this year to allow time for grass seed to germinate and establish before winter weather stalls growth. An encouraging number of volunteers have been recruited to help with the works, and thanks go to everyone involved in the project for their time and efforts. Members should be made aware that these works have priority on the course and your patience is greatly appreciated.
We can now look forward to all greens being slick and smooth next season.
