Awash is what also happened at midday when a mini monsoon occurred, play had to be suspended for an hour or so but thanks to the fantastic green staff who came to the rescue, play resumed and tee times nearly caught up with the original play. There were 64 teams this year and every team made an effort with pink certainly being the colour of the day. The on course quiz proved to be a challenge once more with some hilarious answers, Betty`s famous pink quiz raised over £500 prior to the competition, May Austin baked and baked pink goodies , the ongoing raffle and the star prize raffle at the end of the night kept the pink theme momentum building. The competition this year raised £ 5000 for Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary Breast Cancer Care.
