This competition is a walk on open and entries will only be accepted on the day. Entries will be accepted in person at the clubhouse or by telephone (01387 810552). Tee times available from 8am – 2pm. Clubhouse will be open from 7am to accept entries. Jane Reid and Jackie Bell, along with all the ladies, the sponsors, the Greenkeepers, the clubhouse staff all deserve a massive vote of thanks for making the day a huge success, culminating in a cheque for £3250 being presented to the Breast Cancer Unit in DGRI. The winners on the day with a great score of 61.2 were from Carllise, and were F Hetherington, L Jones , B Davidson and S Coulthart. Lochmaben unfortunately lost scoring 2 1/2 to the County’s 3 1/2, with wins from Jim Graham ,and Craig Scobie, the half point coming from David Dickson. The Junior League team secured an emphatic victory on monday 3rd May when they met Thornhill at home. The score was 3 1/2 to 1/2. Well done lads. 17th May both the league teams playing the Galloway. The juniors lost 4 nil.  At the time of writing the seniors were 2 all with 2 more matches still out on the course. Will update as soon as I know the result…..................the result there at last was a narrow defeat for Lochmaben. 24th May, the seniors were playing the Pines at home, with Lochmaben putting in a solid performance to win 5 1.  The Juniors, playing away at Powfoot were unfortunately beaten 4 0.  31st May…Seniors defeated 1/2 to 5 1/2 away at Powfoot. Many of Maitland Pollocks mini golfers joined the 2009 prizewinners, along with several parents and friends, for a fun evening involving quizzes and games.Congratulations to Taylor Edwards the 2009 junior champion, as well as all of the other worthy winners.
